Humble, uncertain beginnings often lead to remarkable endings~ M.M

Hi there beautiful! Welcome to our first post of the year! 😀

I’m going to do a bit of a confession today… Hope you are ready for us to get real around here… 🙂 *winks

I know it’s a whole New Year and a lot is being said out there, about being new individuals, goal-setting and resolutions…. Well, honestly speaking, we are 12 days into this New Year and I am still fumbling around with my resolutions/goals.

I feel a little like that person who took too long to take the jump… and so, there I am standing awkwardly, with my arms pulled resolutely behind my back, my knees bent and ready, yet my feet are firmly planted on the ground…. 😀

New_Year

You are not alone 🙂

It feels like the year began with so much energy, and then someone hit the ‘Pause button’ behind my back! I don’t know how you are feeling about 2017-perhaps you are like me, or you are that person who is already ticking things off their list (cheers to you!) …wherever you lie, it is okay. 🙂

I choose to welcome the ‘pause’, as I take my time to reflect on what I would like to accomplish this year… Although, to be honest, my natural instinct is to feel guilty for not moving at the speed of that famed ‘energizer bunny’ through my goals… But, as someone wise once said-slow but steady does it. 🙂

New Year

In all truth, I look forward to a fantastic year of growth, and experiencing God’s amazing grace. My 2017 travel bucket-list scares the living daylights out of me, and I have no idea how it’s going to happen- but I believe it will. 🙂 So stick around for a journey of faith and making the ‘impossible’ possible!

In the meantime, let us optimize for today and make each moment count. 🙂 Remember, the little things add up to the big stuff… 😀

Do something today that your future self will thank you for~Anonymous

Let me know, how you are feeling about this year… Have you set your goals and resolutions yet? How is that going? I would love to read you in the comments section below… 🙂

Our best days are yet to come. And when that time comes we shall, no doubt, soar higher than we ever imagined possible!

New Year

P.S. Are there any places you would love to read about on the blog this year? Leave a comment below, and we shall certainly do our best to cover them! 😀

>>Wishing you a year of light and love. xx 🙂

Personally, I came to understand that New Year Resolutions more often than not are purely self-centered, and beginning the year, starts with God. It is a matter of going before God with a blank book and asking Him what He would want from us than having so many resolutions and at the end of the year, you feel frustrated having achieved a third or none at all….

Well, mine revolves around God’s will, understanding and living it. Continue seeking Him more and He will make it clear by the day. Just the way He has for the past one year. By His grace you are at this point in your life. That same grace will elevate you even more. All you need, is to be is STILL. 🙂

Wow, I love this perspective… And I trust that God will come closer and show Himself to you, in more amazing ways than we can see or fathom; as it pleases Him to do so.
Thanks for the reminder to be Still Yup I needed that
      Have a fantastic year ahead!

Hi Nice read! Very real MM.

My resolutions are on course I just have three, two of which seem to carry a whole load! One and most important for now is to learn to sleep every night for 7 hours. That is an uphill task that I have begun as am a night owl…its tough to sleep before 11 and now my target is 9.30 p.m. to get up at 4:30 a.m. Wish me luck as you pray with me.

Thank you Irene! Wow great to read that you are on course-super encouraging! Plus 3 is a good manageable number
I feel you on the sleeping early…it’s a real struggle for me too

Lately I find that putting my gadgets away and reading a book helps… Plus slow, deep breathing… I’d love to hear how it’s going as the year progresses.
And yes I do wish you all the best and will be praying with you to accomplish all 3 goals

No resolutions yet but this year will happen for me as it goes by. I look forward though to this new year and what Scrap book journeys will unfold for us.

Would want to hear more of game parks visits, adventure sports like bungee, sky diving and zip lining, holiday homes far away tucked in the wild as well the northern part of untold Kenya gems.

See you as we press the Play button for the year on.
