4 Life Lessons From 4 Years Of Blogging!
As I share these Life lessons, I’d love for you to know this: I don’t have it all figured out yet. Like you, I am learning as I go…
I hope that this post will encourage you to keep going in your own journey, knowing that you are not alone. π
Don’t Give Up: Keep The Vision Alive!
This here, is one of the life lessons I’ll probably never stop learning!
I have lost count of the times Iβve felt tempted to give up on this journey… I’ve had moments of self-doubt and feeling like I wasnβt growing as fast as I’d like.
It’s in those moments when I’ve had to pause and go back to the reasons why I started in the first place… And when I remember my WHY, it helps put things into perspective.

Sometimes it means taking a break to nurture my heart and mind back to a healthy state… I now know that for me to give my best, self-care is paramount!
Another thing that helps is having friends who believe in your vision. I remember breaking down one time on a bus home… It was one of my lowest days, when it felt like nothing was working out. My friend Christine listened graciously, then went on to affirm my vision. She recounted the victories I’ve had, urging me not to give up.
I can’t express enough gratitude for her and for my close circle of friends and family, for their support through the years. Bless your hearts! π
>>I encourage you to write down your vision and surround yourself with real ones. π
Put Your Gifts To Work & Pursue Excellence!
I recently got to attend an incredible virtual meet-up with fellow Creatives from around Africa… One key lesson I took away is that we each have our God-given gifts, and my job is to put mine to work and pursue excellence.
I am currently taking time to unpack this lesson, hence it’s still a work in progress. π
It might seem obvious, but think about it… Are you maximizing all your talents/gifts?

Honestly, the temptation is to compare and feel like others have it ‘better’… But in so doing, I’d miss out on a beautiful journey that’s meant solely for me.
Similarly, you have a special gift(s) that will serve the world in the way that only you can! I hope we’ll take time to focus on cultivating our ‘own gardens’ with excellence! π
Celebrate Each Milestoneβ¦
You may have caught my ongoing #21Days21Destinations series based on past travels, on my Social Media channelsβ¦
Looking back on all the amazing places that God has allowed me to go and experience, it almost feels surreal! π

In the present moment, it’s easy to feel like I haven’t accomplished anything… because as human beings we easily forget. But when I look back at the challenges Iβve overcome, I feel empowered to keep going! π
Take time to think through and celebrate your milestones… There’s so much to be grateful for, if only we stop to pay attention. π
Itβs Okay to Change and Evolve
One of the major life lessons from Covid-19 is that change is inevitable..
In the same way, these past 4 years have taught me that it’s okay to change and evolve. I am not the same girl that started out this Blogging journey 4 years ago… Some of my interests have changed, as have my passions. And I am learning to explore new things, while staying true to myself.
I acknowledge that these are difficult times, and our experiences are different… I do want you to know, that you are not alone; your story and experience matters. π
