I honestly had so much fun working on this blog postโฆ I love, love podcasts, hence it felt like I was feeding my soul while putting this together! ๐
Sometime back, Podcasts became my life-line of sorts, when I was going through a not-so-great season! So to get my mind in a better space, I would listen to numerous episodes on repeat!
And today, I think we could all do with some inspiration and mental escape from all things Covid-19, right?

Redefining Wealth with Patrice Washington
Listening to Patrice Washingtonโs Podcast is like having coffee with an old friend, albeit virtually! She has this friendly, yet very real personality that shines through each episode! ๐

Her Redefining Wealth Podcast tackles real life issues and how pursuing purpose over money, sets you on the right path to fulfillment and earning more.
I love that she brings in a fresh, godly perspective to subjects like entrepreneurship, self-improvement and finances.

The Moth!
The Moth is one of my favourite Podcasts ever! It is a storytelling podcast that features stories recorded at live Moth Events, from around the world.
These stories are told by everyday people, like you and me, about their lives and experiences.

If you’re looking for a way to pass the time, laugh out loud and travel across different cultures/countries right from your phone, then The Moth is for you! ๐
I enjoy the fact that Moth stories are told for entertainment purposes… Itโs like sitting by the fireplace listening to stories from strangers about sobering to mundane things.
In this sense, it provides an excellent escape from the seriousness of life as we know it.
Tip: Check out their new series โAll Together Nowโ. It goes live every Friday and aims to foster comfort and connection in these troubling times.
How I Built This with Guy Raz
Are you thinking of setting up a new business or venturing into a different industry?
I discovered this Podcast last year while seeking a Mentor… Because sometimes you just want to hear from someone who’s made it on how they did it and know that it ‘s possible. ๐
Guy Raz interviews founders and entrepreneurs of some of the most successful start-ups and businesses of our age! In the interviews, his guests share how they started out, challenges theyโve had to overcome and the lessons learned…
Itโs an inspiring way to learn from the best of the best, and gain the courage to give your own ventures a big shot!

Mwende Bwino
You know we have to throw a travel-inspired podcast into the mix, don’t ya?! ๐
Mwende Bwino is a travel Podcast run by Mazuba Kapambwe, a travel enthusiast from Zambia. Apparently, Mwende Bwino means ‘Go Well’ in a couple of Zambian languages.
In her podcast, Mazuba Kapambwe interviews inspiring travelers from around the African Continent. You’ll gain first-hand insights and tips on traveling in Africa, and your bucket-list will certainly not look the same after! ๐

Creative Pep Talk!
My friend Thabang recently put me onto this podcast, so itโs still relatively new on my listโฆ I do think itโs worth sharing!
The Creative Pep Talk Podcast host, Andy J. Pizza, is an over-the-top personality whose energy bounces off the walls! ๐
Listening to him, youโll feel like he gets distracted easily, but when he gets into the heart of the matter- itโs pure gold!
This Podcast is great for Creatives who’re figuring out the different aspects of their journey! Being a successful Creative himself (Illustrator for the New York Times), his practical lessons on building a thriving career are super relatable and helpful!

The Robin Sharma Mastery Sessions
You might know Robin Sharma from one of his best-selling books: The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari.
This podcast is for you if you’re willing to go beyond ‘being great,’ to living an extraordinary life by changing your daily, ‘small’, habits and mindset.

One of the things I enjoy about Robin Sharmaโs podcast is that he creates small bite-sized episodes, under 10 and 30minutes. This makes it easier to fit it into a tight schedule, like during work breaks or as part of your morning routine.
While they are short, his Podcasts are rich in content! You’ll gain useful insights on: self-mastery, navigating personal and professional relationships, leadership, purpose and more…
Tip: One of the top podcasts worth checking out> How To Fearlessly Speak Your Opinion.
Women Who Travel
Last but certainly not least, is the Women Who Travel podcast, hosted by Lale Arikoglu and Meredith Carey.
They highlight and celebrate women in the travel space, while sharing their tips and travel stories.

I think it makes a great listen for both men and women, looking to understand what it means to ‘travel as a woman’.
Plus it provides a great escape through amazing travel stories from around the world that will adequately spark your wanderlust!
Tip: Check Out the episode>How I Became A Travel Writer, featuring Sarah Khan.ย
