5th Blogiversary

Hello my friends! Today is a special day… It is officially our 5th Blogiversary!! Whoop Whoop! 😀

I hope this particular blog post puts a smile on your face, because without you my readers, we wouldn’t be here… Happy Reading!

Cheers to Making it to our 5th Blogiversary!!

Wow, can you believe it’s been 5 years since we started this dance? Me on this end, inviting you to come along on my journey (bad hair days and all), and YOU on the other side of the screen, always showing up to read, comment and bookmarking the places you wish to visit… Wow indeed! 😀

We actually made it here, to the 5th Blogiversary! Cheers to us!!

I’ve probably said this before, but it feels like it was just yesterday when I nervously hit publish on our first Blog post…

Quick Tip:

Sometimes, I still feel like that doe-eyed girl trying to figure out which side is up, from down in this Blogging world… And to be honest, this journey has not been without its challenges. I’ve had moments of great self-doubt, disappointment and feelings of failure.

However, we’ve also had amazing victories & mind-blowing adventures too! 😀

Looking back now, I am filled with a deep feeling of gratitude. Thank YOU my friends for your support… For the DMs (direct messages) and emails with your kind feedback! Thank you for sharing my posts, and leaving thoughtful comments… It makes ALL the difference! Bless you! 😀

I am so thankful for these lovely humans who’ve played a role behind the scenes: Wanjiku Thuo & Eric Vateta for your photography, + Wiza for your web support through the years.

And to my dear family… for your immeasurably consistent support and for being among my biggest fans… Thank you! 😀

My highest gratitude goes to my #1- God! It is by His grace & favor that we can mark this 5th Blogiversary. All to His glory!

Learning: How to live in the present moment.

Listening: To Chike’s Album: Boo for the Booless on repeat! That man’s music is like the gift that keeps on giving!

Looking: Forward to the next 5 years of this journey, God willing! I choose to believe it will be bigger & better than I can think or imagine!!

Noticing: How fast this year is going!

Praying: For everyone who’s felt the sting of Covid-19 in one way or another… It has been heavy for so many of us, to say the least. But this too shall pass. Keep going.

Reading: Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie for the second time. All her books are unputdownable! 😀

Tip:

If you’ve ever been curious about the experience of living in a foreign country… You might want to pick this one up! Her stories on life in America as a Nigerian are both entertaining & insightful.

Thinking: About the lessons I have learned from my Blogging journey so far… Would you be interested in a blog post on this? Let me know in the comments!

Wanting: To see a better and fair Kenya with systems that work for its citizens.

Watching: Anything that makes me laugh to lighten my soul…

Quirky Tip: Did you know that watching something comical before bed, will help you sleep better? I don’t know if it’s tested/proven, but it’s been working for me lately.

Wishing: For the new iMac! That machine is a beast! A girl can & should dream!

Working: On reading more books this year. My goal is to read at least 12 books… Starting with what I enjoy, then hopefully expanding to the trickier ones…

It has been a pleasure sharing this space with you all. I pray that by God’s grace we’ll get to have many more blogiversaries to celebrate. Thank you for being a part of my journey!
