Happy New Month my friends! 😀 What’s on your 2022 travel bucket-list? Well, this ‘Best of 2021 Travels Recap’ is going to inspire you to give your travel dreams a chance this year… So let’s have at it, shall we?
First of all, can we just acknowledge that 2021 already feels like a century ago? I can hardly believe that we are already in March… 😀
Well, it’s one more reason to give thanks to God because we’ve made it this far, by His grace.
As this year continues to race by, it’s easy for us to get caught up in the day to day… For me, this means that sometimes I start to feel a little impatient with myself (and God) if things are not working out my way, or how fast I want them to. And that can get discouraging. Can you relate?
At such times, I like to look back at how far we’ve come, as a reminder of what is possible. And in a sense, that’s what this blog post is… A reminder of all the amazing travel moments that transpired in 2021, and an affirmation that 2022 will be even better.

Honestly speaking, I never thought I would do a blog post about Mombasa, because it’s already quite a popular destination… However, I am truly glad that our #NowTravelReady exploits took us to Mombasa!
I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of things to do in Mombasa… There’s something for nearly every kind of traveler. Trust me, this coastal city is certainly worth your time!!

Best of Zambia: Throwbacks are everything!
Although this trip doesn’t exactly fall under ‘Best of 2021 Travels’, we finally closed off our Zambia series in the year. And what a sweet way to finish!
Zambia is a country worth adding to your bucket-list… There is a magic about visiting one of the Wonders of the world (Victoria Falls) and meeting the people of Zambia. Honestly, it’s the kind of place you need to experience firsthand…
Plus it doesn’t hurt that the country is Visa-free for Kenyans, so why not? 😀

A Return To Diani is always a good idea!
My visits to Diani have proven that this place is worth revisiting- again and again. And if you are an adrenaline junkie, then Diani should certainly make your 2022 bucket-list!
Diani is like a nice balance between feisty Mombasa and laid-back Malindi. You’ll get a fair share of other tourists around, without feeling crowded or deserted.

Dreams Come True… In Lamu
Have you been to Lamu? This is your faithful reminder to add Lamu to your bucket-list, right away!
I have such fond memories of Lamu, in a way that gently calms my heart and puts a quiet smile on my face. That is Lamu for you…
You get to unwind with a change of pace., while you also experience unique ways of life, like moving around in boats and donkeys… Not to mention, the people will make you feel welcome and most at home. 🙂

You are very right throwbacks are everything, and yes looking at where you live through the eyes of a tourist. I remember having a road trip with a couple of friends to Limiru tea plantation what a beautiful view.Every so often you discover a place/ a town no matter how big or small that you fall in love with and cannot wait to share the details with your family, friends etc.
